Privacy Policy
Effective: 27 July 2026 · Applies to the Enclaver mobile app and enclaver.com
This Privacy Policy explains how Enclaver Labs Ltd ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and protects information when you play Enclaver — Life Simulator (the "Game") or visit enclaver.com (the "Site"). For the purposes of UK GDPR and EU GDPR, Enclaver Labs Ltd is the data controller.
The short version: Enclaver has no accounts and no sign-up. Your game saves stay on your device. We collect anonymised analytics and crash data to keep the Game working, and our ad and store partners process the data they need to serve ads and payments. We never sell your personal information.
1. Who we are
Enclaver Labs Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales. For any privacy question or request, contact us at info@enclaver.com. We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer; the contact above handles all data protection matters.
2. Information we collect
- Game analytics. We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the Game is played — for example which features are used, session length, device model, operating system version, country-level location, and in-app events. This data is pseudonymous: it is tied to an app-instance identifier, not your name or email.
- Crash data. Firebase Crashlytics collects crash logs and device state at the time of a crash so we can fix bugs.
- Advertising data. If you play the free version, our advertising partners (including Unity Ads) may process your device advertising identifier (IDFA/GAID, where permitted), IP address and coarse location to serve and measure ads. On iOS, ads only use your identifier for tracking if you allow it via Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt.
- Purchase data. In-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple's App Store or Google Play. We receive anonymised transaction confirmations — never your payment card details.
- Site analytics. The Site may use cookies and similar technologies as described in our Cookie Statement.
- Correspondence. If you email us, we keep the email and our reply to handle your request.
3. What we do not collect
- No account registration, usernames or passwords — the Game has none.
- No contact lists, photos, precise GPS location or microphone access.
- Your save files (your in-game lives) are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded to us.
- No special-category (sensitive) data — health, religion, politics, biometrics — is requested or knowingly processed.
4. How we use information
- Operate, maintain and improve the Game and the Site;
- Diagnose and fix crashes and bugs;
- Understand which features players enjoy so we can build more of them;
- Serve and measure advertising in the free version;
- Process and deliver in-app purchases through the app stores;
- Detect and prevent fraud, cheating and abuse;
- Respond to your messages and support requests;
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.
5. Legal bases (UK & EU players)
Where UK GDPR / GDPR applies, we rely on: legitimate interests (analytics, crash reporting, fraud prevention, enforcing our terms); consent (personalised advertising, where you have been asked — you may withdraw it at any time via your device settings); and contract (delivering purchases you make).
6. Who we share data with
We share data only with the service providers needed to run the Game and Site, each processing data under its own privacy policy:
- Google Firebase (analytics & crash reporting) — privacy notice;
- Unity Ads (advertising) — privacy policy and opt-out information;
- Apple (App Store payments & distribution) — privacy policy;
- Google Play (payments & distribution) — privacy policy.
We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect our rights or players' safety, or as part of a business transfer (merger, acquisition or asset sale) — in which case this policy continues to apply to the transferred data until updated. We do not sell personal information, and we have not sold it in the preceding 12 months.
7. Data retention
Analytics and crash data are retained on Firebase's standard retention schedules (typically 2–14 months) and then deleted or aggregated. Email correspondence is kept as long as needed to handle your request and our legal obligations. Pseudonymous ad data is retained by our ad partners under their own policies.
8. Your rights (UK & EU)
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any right, email info@enclaver.com — we respond within one month. You can also complain to your supervisory authority; in the UK that is the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
You can reset or disable your advertising identifier at any time in your device settings (iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking; Android: Settings → Google → Ads).
9. California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, the CCPA/CPRA gives you rights to know, delete, and correct personal information, and to opt out of "sale" or "sharing". In CCPA terms, we collect: identifiers (device and advertising IDs, IP address), internet activity (in-game events, session data), coarse geolocation (country/region), and commercial information (purchase confirmations). We do not sell personal information. Ad SDKs in the free version may constitute "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising — you can opt out by enabling "Limit Ad Tracking" / disabling ads personalisation in your device settings, or by declining the iOS tracking prompt. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information, and we do not knowingly collect data from consumers under 16. To exercise any California right, email info@enclaver.com; we will verify requests via the email used and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
10. Do Not Track
Some browsers send "Do Not Track" signals. The Site does not respond to DNT signals, as no industry standard for them exists; our cookie use is described in the Cookie Statement. Where legally required, we honour opt-out preference signals such as the Global Privacy Control for the Site.
11. Children
Enclaver is rated 17+ and is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
12. Security
We use reputable, industry-standard providers and appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect data in transit (TLS) and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we protect your information proportionately to its sensitivity, and we minimise what we collect in the first place.
13. International transfers
Our providers may process data in countries outside your own, including the United States. Where required, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement/Addendum or EU Standard Contractual Clauses implemented by those providers, or an applicable adequacy decision (including the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified).
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Effective" date above always reflects the current version. Material changes will be highlighted on this page, and where required by law we will notify you in the Game or by other reasonable means.
